What is Hakka Chinese?
Hakka Chinese (also called Indo-Chinese) grew out of the Chinese community in Kolkata. It takes classic Chinese wok cooking and adds more garlic, ginger, green chilli and bold sauces like Chilli, Manchurian and Szechuan. If you like Chinese food with a bit more flavour and heat, this is it.

- Hakka Fried Rice, from $14.49, and Manchurian Fried Rice with crispy veggie balls, from $16.49.
- Gobi 65, $14.49, and Chicken Lollipop (8 pcs), $15.99: our favourite starters.
- Szechuan Chicken and Kung Pao Chicken, from $16.99, for those who like it hot.

Is Hakka Chinese food spicy?
It can be, but you choose. Most dishes can be made mild, medium or extra spicy, and dishes like Sweet & Sour Chicken, Chicken with Broccoli and Butter Chicken are naturally mild.
Is your food halal?
Yes. Chilli Chopsticks is halal certified, so everyone at the table can order from the full menu.
Do you have vegetarian options?
Yes. We have veg momos, Gobi 65, Honey Chilli Potato, Dragon Paneer, Veg Manchurian, veg soups, and veg fried rice and noodles.
Do you have lunch specials?
Yes. Weekday lunch specials are $12.49 + tax, 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. (we are closed Tuesdays, and holidays are excluded).
